In June, handset shipments in the Chinese market slipped by 9.3% YoY to 22.598 million units, according to a handset market operation analysis report released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.
Among them, 5G mobile phones dropped by 16.7% YoY to 18.436 million units, representing 81.6% of the total handset shipments during the same period.
Likewise, shipments of China-made handsets declined by 6.4% YoY to 20.627 million units, accounting for 91.3% of the total handset shipments during the same period.
